This work unfolded in an organic way working from concept through photoshop to canvas. the recess required a molded wooden support before the canvas was cut. Extenders and sand were layered onto panel and this piece was set in to the canvass aperture.

The work attempts to set up an inquiry into the nature of nature itself. Behind perceived reality is there a conscious layer or pre-conscious structure which gives rise to moments of perceived reality?
