The breaching whales were painted when my first son aged 3 months underwent surgery for a hole in the heart. It symbolizes the profound depth of feeling experienced at this time running the gamut from pure terror to the pure joy felt when things worked out successfully for him in the end. It was an introduction to the deep emotional connection a parent always has for his own children. There is perhaps nothing else to match this.
